Where Have We Been?

Sorry I have not updated in a few weeks! There has been a lot going on in the Reed house over the last three weeks! Three weeks ago yesterday Addison got croup. That Saturday we were at Children's ER with her because she was having a hard time breathing. They gave her a breathing treatment, did a chest x-ray to check for pneumonia and sent us home with albuterol and told us to follow up on that Monday with her pediatrician. Well Monday we went to see her doctor and she still heard wheezing in her chest so we had to contimue the albuterol and come back that Friday to let her re-check her. We stayed out of school all week because the doctor said she couldn't risk getting sick on top of what was already going on with her. On Friday we went back to the doctor and the wheezing was gone, but she now had an ear infection and had to get four shots for her 15 month check-up. They also think she may have asthma because of all the wheezing she has done, but they will continue to watch her before making that diagnosis. The good news is that if she does have asthma she will most likely grow out of it the older she gets. We went back to school the following Monday and Wednesday night she woke up with a stomach virus that lasted through Thursday morning. She stayed home from school the rest of that week and went back to school this past Monday. Monday afternoon she woke up from nap with a fever. Trent also started running fever Monday afternoon after he had been sick with the stomach virus on Saturday and Sunday. We took him to the doctor Monday afternoon and he has walking pneumonia. I took Addison to the doctor Tuesday morning and she now has strep throat. It is now Thursday and Addison went back to school today and Trent went back to work yesterday. Hopefully we can stay well for a while now! The good news is that the Good Lord knew that I needed to stay well through all of this so that I could take care of my sweet baby and Trent so I am doing great!
